The Facility Director for East Cobb Presbyterian Church and East Cobb Christian School will possess the ability to solve and work through a variety of maintenance issues related to the operation and care of our 30,000 square foot campus at 4616 Roswell Rd., Marietta, GA. This position should be filled by an individual who has the heart to serve and the mechanical knowledge and experience required to maintain the facility.
The Facility Director’s position is a part time, 15-20 hour per week position. Hours are flexible.
This position shall embrace the ministry philosophy of East Cobb Presbyterian Church.
Spiritual gifts of serving and administrative skills are highly recommended.
Maintaining a Christian witness consistent with being in church leadership.
Willingness to work with others, supervising volunteers and interacting with outside contractors/vendors.
Willingness to be “on call” Sunday mornings to accommodate immediate or emergency issues.
Willingness and skills to perform some of the work/repairs. Be aware of times when tasks will/should be delegated to a team of volunteers or an outside contractor.
Negotiate and oversee facility contracts with vendors. (gas company, trash, cleaning company, etc.)
Review and approve invoices and bills for facility expenses.
Complete regular maintenance and repairs of facilities or pursue professional help when needed.
Oversee the outside cleaning crew and other vendors
Oversee facility set-up, breakdown, and cleaning as needed.
Maintain facility supplies as needed (i.e. bathrooms and cleaning supplies, filters, etc.)
Organize and supervise church work days..
Create and maintain a facility maintenance plan along with the facility committee.
