THE TABLE ON DELK

The sex/human trafficking industry in metro Atlanta has grown to nearly $300M annually, and a good portion of that revenue is generated in Cobb County. Individuals caught in this trap feel like they have few or no choices, and most see no way out. The Table on Delk provides a safe place for those currently, or at risk of, being sexually exploited to have a meal and get connected to resources they might not know about.

At ECPC we provide sack lunches for The Table On Delk's Psalm 34:8 ministry, “Taste and See that the Lord is good”.  Five days a week, the Table provides 140 sack lunches for children getting off the bus who live in hotels near the Cracker Barrel on Delk Road. Each bag provides a good, nourishing lunch and a “touch” of Christ’s love. The kids are given Bibles if they want one and are invited to the Bible studies that The Table holds during the week. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

1. We still need volunteers to serve at the Table on Delk luncheon on Saturday, June 27, from 10:00-3:00 at 1345 Franklin Gateway. This is open to both women and men (they will be washing dishes). Call or text Carol at 404-388-6164 for questions. Sign up HERE.

2. The Table on Delk is hosting its annual Awareness Dinner on August 25 at North Metro Church. This is NOT a fundraiser. It is for anyone who would like to learn more about the issue of sexual exploitation along the Delk Road corridor and how easy it is for people of all ages to partner with them. Details may be found HERE.
